When I was 15 years old, I got into a boatload of trouble on a Friday the 13th. I’m sure my Mom and Dad are cringing right now recalling that day (and my hairstyle at the time). After that day, for years – decades actually – I dreaded every Friday the 13th. Think of it. Over 20+ years of dread, many times a year.
Then one day, I thought, “This is ridiculous,” and decided to change. I started calling every Friday the 13th my “lucky” Friday the 13th. And it was like someone had flipped a switch. Suddenly, I was looking forward to those days. Good things happened. I scheduled special events.
I encourage you to flip the switch on something you’ve been carrying with you. You can literally turn something that is weighing you down into something that uplifts you!
